LINDA JO (KASL) MEIREHANS
Heaven received another angel! Linda Jo Kasl-Meirehans, 62, Olathe, Kan., passed away Thursday, November 15, 2013. She was born Feb. 15, 1951, at Belleville, Kan., to the late Ben and Mary (Woodman) Kasl. She graduated from Belleville High School and from Gradwohl School of Laboratory, St. Louis, Mo. She started her career at the Hiawatha Kansas Hospital as a lab tech where she worked for nearly 25 years. She later moved to Olathe and worked for Osborne Labs. Linda was dedicated to her career at Clinical Reference Laboratories, where she spent the past 11 years, enjoying her work immensely. She found great joy in participating in church activities, her Red Hat organization, attending dinner theaters and movies, and spending time playing board games with neighbors, friends, and family. Linda shared her love with her cherished pets, Sadie and Pepe. Both were rescues, however, no one is completely sure who rescued who. She is survived by her brother, Mike E. (Carolyn) Kasl of Belleville; two aunts, Arlene Swartzwelder of Robertsdale, Ala., and Norma Nickerson of Olathe; one nephew, Scott (Laurie) Kasl of Belleville; and two nieces, Michel (Jeff) Scott of Highland, Kan., and Annette Metz of Washington, Kan.; six great nieces and nephews, several cousins, many friends, family members, neighbors, and co-workers that will miss her dearly. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, at the Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 15315 W. 151st St., Olathe, KS 66062. Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, at the Bachelor- Surber Funeral Home, Belleville. Private inurnment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, rural Belleville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Linda's honor to the Aldersgate United Methodist Church, the Animal Haven No Kill Animal Shelter, or the Blair Theater, Belleville.
