Falcons golf benefit set for July 8

The annual Olathe South Football Golf Tournament is set for July 8 at Prairie Highlands Golf Course.

The benefit, which will support the booster club for the Kansas 6A state champion Falcons, begins at 11 a.m., which costs $125 per individual player. There are several different levels of sponsorship as well.

Kicking camp coming to Blue Springs

The Ray Guy ProKicker.com Kicking Camp and Talent Search – a two-day camp for kickers, punters and long snappers of any age – will be at Blue Springs High School on July 7-8.

Personal evaluation of the camp participants will be provided and the top prospects could be included in the ProKicker.com national rankings.

South assistants organize hoops camp

Olathe South assistant basketball coaches Dan Morrow and Matt Pence will conduct the first Future Falcon youth basketball camp July 9-12.

The four-day camp, which takes place at the high school, will focus on fundamentals with coaches and current Falcons teaching shooting, ball-handling, footwork and other skills.

The camp, which costs $55 and includes a T-shirt, will be split into two groups – one for third- through fifth-graders from 8 to 10 a.m. and another for sixth- through eighth-graders from 10 a.m. to noon.

Eagles QB Club announces golf tourney

The Olathe North Quarterback Club has announced that the 11th Annual Quarterback Club Golf Tournament, which will be played July 22 at Sycamore Ridge Golf Course.

Check in for the four-person scramble, which costs $500 per team or $125 per individual, will begin at 11:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Lunch and dinner will be provided.
