Hawks boys hoops camps

Olathe East’s boys basketball team will conduct four basketball camps before June wraps up.

Two for high school-aged students will take place Monday through Thursday with one for freshman taking place from 3 .to 5:30 p.m. followed by a camp for sophomores, juniors and seniors from 6 to 9 p.m.

There will be two youth camps the following week. The camps will take place June 18-21 with one for students entering second through fifth grades from noon to 2 p.m. followed by another for middle-school students from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.

All four camps cost $60, which insurance, instruction and a camp T-shirt.

South boys basketball camps

Olathe South’s boys basketball team will conduct two camps Monday through Thursday.

A middle school camp is scheduled for 2 to 4 p.m., while the high school camp is set for 9 a.m. to noon each day.

Falcons baseball camps

Olathe South’s baseball team will conduct three camps this summer, including two for students entering sixth through ninth grades.

The first will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 25-28 and registration is due June 22. The second is set for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 9-12 with registration due July 6.

Both camps cost $100, which includes a T-shirt.

The third camp for students entering second through fifth grades is from 10 a.m. to noon July 16-18. It costs $60 and also includes a T-shirt. Registration is due July 13.

All camps will take place at Black Bob Park, Fields 1 and 8. Walk-ups will be accepted, but the cost goes up $10.

South youth hoops camp

Olathe South assistant basketball coaches Dan Morrow and Matt Pence will conduct the first Future Falcon youth basketball camp July 9-12.

The four-day camp, which takes place at the high school, will focus on fundamentals with coaches and current Falcons teaching shooting, ball-handling, footwork and other skills.

The camp, which costs $55 and includes a T-shirt, will be split into two groups – one for third- through fifth-graders from 8 to 10 a.m. and another for sixth- through eighth-graders from 10 a.m. to noon.
