Olathe will offer its annual low-cost rabies vaccinations for dogs and cats today at the city’s animal shelter.
The clinic will run from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the shelter, 505 E. Sunvale Drive. Residents will be able to purchase the rabies shots for $10, which are good for one year.
Residents will also be able to purchase other immunizations, such as distemper and bordetella, for a reduced rate, as well as purchase or renew animal licenses.
The city offers the clinic to provide a low-cost option to its residents, Sgt. Grant Allen, an Olathe police spokesman.
“It enables us to make sure that everyone is getting the immunizations,” he said.
