Federal prosecutors on Tuesday charged Nicholas H. Henry, 26, who was shot in a gunfight with federal agents, with possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.
Henry, who lives in Olathe, moved from the hospital to the Johnson County jail last week. His father, Robert Henry, said his son received treatment for 14 gunshot wounds after the Nov. 1 shootout in a shopping center parking lot at 151st Street and Ridgeview Road.
Authorities said Henry pulled a bullet-proof vest and a handgun out of a stolen pickup truck and fired at agents who were trying to arrest him in aggravated assault and probation violations.
No officers were hurt.
