The Kansas State High School Activities Association announced the new districts for all football classes for the upcoming two-year cycle, which encompasses the 2010 and 2011 seasons.
Each of the four city schools finds its pairing drastically changed except Olathe Northwest, which stays in the same district with Lawrence and Free State.
However, Leavenworth moves out of that district and Olathe North moves in.
The Pioneers are now paired with Shawnee Mission North, SM Northwest and Wyandotte.
Olathe East and Olathe South, meanwhile, have been moved into the same district with Blue Valley West and BV Northwest.
Gardner-Edgerton keeps St. Thomas Aquians and Pittsburg in its district, which also now includes Blue Valley. District 4 is perhaps the toughest district in 5A now.
Spring Hill's 4A district includes Louisburg, Osawatomie and Paola.
