Top-ranked Falcons volleyball hosts two other top-five teams Thursday

It's shaping up to be one heck of a quad Thursday at Olathe South, who hosts a pair of Sunflower League foes and Blue Valley North beginning at 5 p.m.

South took over the top spot in the Kansas Volleyball Association's Kansas 6A rankings after improving to 18-0 last week.

The Falcons had been second before Shawnee Mission East lost against Blue Valley North on Sept. 24 in a quad at Olathe Northwest.

Washburn Rural (15-2) moved up to second followed by Manhattan (20-1), whose only loss came against South. The Lancers (12-3) fell to fourth with the Mustangs (14-8) fifth.

South and SM East are the only remaining league unbeatens. They meet in the quad at South, which also includes BV North and SM South.

Goddard (16-4), ONW (14-5) and Wichita Heights (9-2) were listed among the others just outside the top five.
