Eldon "Jiggs" Terry

Eldon "Jiggs" Terry, 70, Olathe, Kan., died Sat., June 13, 2009. He was born on Nov. 30, 1938, in LaCygne, Kan., the son of Harold Clayton and Donnalee Veda Mielke Terry. He graduated from LaCygne High School in 1956. He was an Army Veteran for two years, one month, and twenty-six days. He was married to Glenda Showalter on Nov. 13, 1986. Jiggs was a member of the LaCygne Christian Church, Elevator Constructors Union Local #12, Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Mirza Temple, and American Legion. He enjoyed helping coach baseball and was an avid fisherman and hunter.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Glenda of the home, son Doug Terry of the New Lancaster area, daughter Shala Graeve and husband Chuck of Omaha, Neb., brothers Keith Terry and wife Dottie of Kansas City, Mo. and Alan Terry and wife Jane of Rochelle, Ill., a sister Joyce Hewitt of Chanute, Kan., two stepsons, Lonnie and David Pannell, and 12 grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Wed., June 17, 2009, at the LaCygne Christian Church. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery.
