North softball splits with Leavenworth, SMW
The Olathe News staff
Followers of the Olathe North softball program will be shocked to learn that the Eagles split a doubleheader Tuesday at the College Boulevard Activity Center.
Technically, this time it was a split doubleheader, but North's 4-3 win against Leavenworth and a 4-1 loss against Shawnee Mission West represented the fourth split in five doubleheaders this season.
The Pioneers actually jumped out in front against Eagles starter Rachel Hein, but Mo O'Connor stepped in and steadied the ship as North rallied to the victory.
O'Connor then took started the nightcap and took the loss against the Vikings.
The Eagles are now 6-5 overall and 2-5 in Sunflower League play.
