Rabbi Larry W. Davis entered the presence of the Lord on Saturday, February 14th, 2009, with his children around him. Services will be held at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home 14275 Black Bob Road, Olathe, Kansas, 66062. The visitation will be 6-8 p.m., February 20, and the funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., February 21, 2009. Burial following funeral service. Rabbi Larry W. Davis was born December 8, 1951, at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas to parents Magnolia Jean Harris and McKinley (MC) Davis. Larry attended Wyandotte High School and was an avid football player. Rabbi Larry W. Davis married Sandy Lee Wright in 1971 and they had three children.

In 1980, Larry moved to Olathe, the city he loved with all his heart. Here he raised his children. In 2007 Rabbi Larry W. Davis started Beth Ezra a Messianic Ministry and in 2008 founded Beth Ezra Academy.

Rabbi Larry W. Davis will be remembered for his larger than life personality, his great gift of love and acceptance for all persons, and his intense love for his Savior Jesus Christ. He personally impacted thousands of lives and had a love for all people. His dreams are his children’s vision and his legacy will continue with them.

Rabbi Larry W. Davis is survived by mother, Magnolia Jean Harris; sister, Karen Miranda Madison; brother, Michael Anthony Garlington; his three children, Tabitha Lee Davis, Noah Wayne Davis and Moriah Lee Davis; and three grandchildren, Karla M. Davis, Aurora Rose Dewberry, and Carter Alexander Sebastian Dewberry. Additionally he had two nieces, Miranda Madison and Nicole Garlington.
