Two killed in fatal wreck

A man and woman were killed about 12:45 a.m. Monday when their car rear-ended a tractor-trailer on Lone Elm Road near 149th Street.

The victims, Castin E. Ellis, 21, and her passenger, Nikolas M. Musto, 20, were traveling northbound on Lone Elm when the red Ford Mustang Ellis drove struck the tractor-trailer, which was parked in the right lane of the two-lane road, said Sgt. Johnny Roland, a police spokesman.

Ellis and Musto were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi truck was not injured.

As of 10 a.m., Roland said it was unclear why the semi was parked in the street. He said the wreck is still under investigation. Anyone with information should call the department at 971-7455.
