New for Salvation Army: Donate with credit or debit cards

Those Salvation Army red kettles are coming Friday — and this year, you can say “charge it” when you give.

New to the Kansas City area will be at least 10 kettles with machines to take donations through credit or debit cards. The Salvation Army hasn’t decided which of the more than 230 area kettle locations will have the machines.
