Clyde Wayne Middleton

Clyde Wayne Middleton, 87, of Olathe, passed away June 23, 2009, at Meadowbrook Rehab Hospital, Gardner, Kan. Cremation. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m., Fri., July 3, 2009, at Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner, (913) 856-7111. Memorial Contributions may be made to the First Christian Church of Olathe. Condolences may be sent to www.brucefuneralhome.com. Clyde was born March 23, 1922. in Ft. Scott, Kan., to Edgar Leroy and Floy Fern Layton Middleton. He served in the US Army Air Corp. from 1942 to 1945. Clyde married Elizabeth "Betty" Wallace Jan. 12, 1952, in Huntsville, Ark. Clyde was a welder for Hesse Corp. and was a member of the UAW of Kansas City. He was preceded in death by his parents. Clyde is survived by his wife, Betty; son, Larry Middleton of Olathe; daughter, Laura Middleton of Gardner; one grandchild and three great- grandchildren.
