Alexandria A. Schlapia

Alexandria A. Schlapia, 48, of Spring Hill, Kan., passed away June 15, 2009, at Kansas City Hospice House. Memorial Services will be 2 p.m., Fri., June 19, 2009, at Bruce Funeral Home, 712 S Webster, Spring Hill, Kan., 913-592- 2244. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. before the service at the funeral home. Alexandria was born Feb. 15, 1961, in Phoenix, Ariz., to Alexander C. and Carmen C. Castro Santa Maria. She married Daniel A. Schlapia on June 25, 1993, in Phoenix. They lived in Glendale, Ariz. and moved to Spring Hill in 2005. She was a member of the Vista Baptist Church in Olathe. She loved to roller skate and was involved in dancing competitions. Alexandria had a lovely singing voice and she performed for friends and family events. She will be dearly missed. Survivors include her husband Daniel of the home; parents Alexander and Carmen Santa Maria of Glendale; children John Manuel Bachicha of Phoenix, Andre Daniel Bachicha and Antonio Daniel Schlapia both of Spring Hill, and step child Christina Dawn Schlapia of Pahrump, Nev.; three granddaughters Danyal, Cierra and Jayde; brother Alexander C. Santa Maria, Jr. of Phoenix and step sisters Gloria, Irma, Sally and Louisa.
