Restaurant manager questions use of force in Olathe shooting

The manager of an Olathe restaurant has questioned the use of force that resulted in a shootout in an Olathe parking lot Sunday night. Jackson Miller, manager of a Pizza Shoppe restaurant near the Subway at 151st Street and Ridgeview Road, questioned why police made the arrest in the parking lot near open businesses. Olathe man dies in fire involving oxygen tank

Olathe interchange project gains funds from county

The Johnson County Commission recently approved $33.6 million in road improvements and storm water projects for next year. The road program—known as County Assistance Road System or CARS—includes 21 projects in 13 cities at a cost of $22.3 million. Of that amount, $6.6 million previously had been allocated to projects that had been cancelled because of the economy. The money was reallocated last week by commissioners for next year. City rolling out new recycling carts

Man shot in Olathe gunfight with federal task force
